duh, i know you know, but:
there is a new wilco album that leaked and is now streaming here. i wonder what would happen if u2 released a song with these lyrics: "u2, u2, u2, u2 will love you baby." yeah.

there are two mp3s from the just out pearl jam 2008 christmas single over here.
apparently neil mccormick's i was bono's doppelganger (killing bono) book is being made into a movie. i liked the baby u2-ish details in that book, but i wonder about a movie. it's really neil's life story. we'll see how much u2 gets in and who plays them.
i am a bad u2 fan because i'm not getting too amped up about what a semi-put together stage looks like or what songs edge claims they are thinking about possibly playing. it's not that i am in "no spoiler" mode, i honestly just ... am going to wait and see what happens in barcelona. baby. 46 days! (i think.)

I have to agree about the doppelganger movie. I found the book interesting when it focused on the early days of U2, but I totally lost interest as it focused more and more on Neil's life and how mundane it is compared to Bono's. I could see it working as a film if they edit it down and add in the right cast, director and screenplay. They could make something really powerful like the film Once, or perhaps Anton could make a follow-up to Control. It definitely has potential.
