does the new u2 single rip off laurie berkner?
bone-o-head's boots song
berkner's* boots song:
technically you might say, "well the music is totally different and larry mullen rips a hole in your face with his drum parts on u2's song compared to the above jokers. oh and edge kicks the frog boot kid's ass. also, adam's bass + bono's voice = slightly sexier than laurie." but, um, these songs do share a key word. b-o-o-t-s. so i call it COPYING! u2 = unoriginal hackz.
also, our friend elmo's review of the new u2 single cracked me up. you don't even need to agree with it to be entertained by it.
*berkner youtube clip = quality desperation video taping job by someone's mommy or daddy.

Ha! - that was best review of "Boots" yet.
Sure the lyrics are a bit non-sensical ... but so are some of Bob Dylan's lyrics, in fact I was thinking earlier that "Boots" has some lyrical kinship to "Subterranean Homesick Blues".
those U2ers, so unoriginal. 5 years and the best they can do is copy stomping lady and her clan of jumping kiddies. (9 secs was all i could take of that clip) :-)
Can I say in my own defense, that I was drunk at the time of that writing, something I had to do in preparation for if the single was crap.
Glad the harsh light of day proved that to not be the case.
drunken review goes hand in hand with singer's drunken lyric writing. like cameron, tho, i quite like these silly lyrics.
I love them! I think he managed to slip a genuine Bono couplet in there too: "laughter is eternity if joy is real."
i love that line, too.
Agreed... that line is the pearl in the oyster. A fast and furious fun song, where the lyrics really don't matter because the music is just amazing. There are so many layers to it. BTW, c, love your description of Larry's drums ripping a hole in your face!!!
A show opener for sure, right? Can't wait.
I love the way Bono sings "Not right now!". That's one of my favorite parts, just the way he says it.
I love Elmo's review too :).
