bono and edge trading off lead vocals on the verses. and that percussion is bono drumming his hand on the body of his guitar. this is from the performance broadcast on rte tv on december 16, recorded last week at the O2 arena in dublin.

i think their attempt at harmony in the beginning is an endearing failure. but i love that they traded verses. i love getting to hear bono sing on it, too. lighten up brother.

I like this. Far from perfect, especially in the beginning, but somehow touching seeing and hearing them perform this song after so many years. Edge is a little too reserved, he should have sung more of it. BUT man does Bono have a great voice!
