It constantly amazes me how people want to hear tiny little snatches of distorted music and "ooh, was that Bono's voice?" through the sound of waves crashing on the beach, and people breathing and moving about with their recording sound turned WAY up.
And knowing what is on the album BEFORE it comes out....wtf? It takes away the pleasure and excitement in my opinion. For me, it is going to be a complete surprise. Everything from the track list to how the songs sound.
Can't wait!!! But I WILL... :)
Someone should have told the German tourists to stop talking...
I am endlessly curious about the clips, but I'm really trying to avoid them. A) they probably sound crummy anyway; and b) yeah, not as fun!
These guys aren't German, they're Dutch. And the recorder says he regrets opening his mouth while recording. ;)
Oh yeah, alicia, don't get me wrong. It's killing me, knowing all the info and clips are out there. But I'm resisting. ;)
It's worth listening to them because they are GOOD! I predict on this album, the return of U2's cajones.
Well, the return of their cajones is great news! Much as I love them, they did kind of drop off for a while there. I knew they would strap on a new pair though when I heard "Mercy"....
I'm eagerly bouncing in anticipation of November.
i don't know ... predicting the quality of an album by u2 -- a group whose studio production choices, instrument levels, lyrical specifics, and sonic details make or break so much of their stuff -- based on a handful of crappy audio snippets of songs? i don't think so.
