Strummer's early hippy squatter sensibilities clashed with his later punk image but ultimately and happily he was able to reconcile the two.

We are here as on a darkling plain
Swept with confused alarms of struggle and flight,
Where ignorant armies clash by night.

Clash in italian language means chiudere, it's the only thing that I know; and if you would listen someone who imitate their sound you must search for an artist called Max Gazzè...chiudere per conoscere :-)

While Empires Slowly Crumble, Rebels Waltz and Liars Wrestle With The Truth, The Clash remain the only band that matters.

Begin the Begin, I can't even rhyme
Which came first the Bruce or the Yahoo?
The night that your head got bashed or the day when you were saved by the Clash?
This is a rebel song
On a rebel radio
With a rebel yell
And too much hair gel

My son is into "classic rock" (he's aeferring to the 70's and 80's). He loves the New Wave, Punk music, so I bought him a cd of The Clash.

Okay, so I used the work clash in the most dorkiest way, but at least my story is true!!
