sunday
sondre. i love this guy. really. he's so good. i think i like him better with his whole band, but then on his own he can pull it off, which is not easy when you play songs like him with a jazzy feel, it's not like he's up there all acoustic and boring. on sunday, at joe's pub, one of his fingers stopped working at one point. someone in the crowd told him it was "trigger finger" and that it would go away. so he played his last song with one hand pretty much until the end and then i began to think maybe he was just pretending. but only a little.
sondre went to edge's auction on saturday. i saw sondre on the web telecast walking in with his adorable wife. the interviewer on auction network as best as i could tell had no clue who sondre was and kept referring to sondre as "he" and "him" and maybe even called him "hey you" and sondre explained that he wrote the dan in real life score and soundtrack and was working on a new album and didn't sound like he really was about to buy anything too expensive. it was a little funny.
sondre recommends the new elvis costello.
