rolling stone's anthony decurtis talks to @u2
interesting thoughts from him on his interactions with the band over the years. there's a focus on 1987 and the joshua tree, etc.

edge honors the skids at the tartan clef awards.

the killers have a new holiday single out called don't shoot me santa. proceeds benefit (red). you can buy it on itunes.

you can also buy (red) holiday cards from hallmark, if that's something that interests you.

there is an article in the latest issue of vogue that includes this portrait of bono by steven klein:

the article talks about how bono and damien hirst worked together on planning an upcoming art auction that seeks to raise $46 million for the global fund, to fight AIDS in africa. it will be held on valentine's day at sotheby's new york, with donated works from more than 60 contemporary artists, including jasper johns, jeff koons, cecily brown, takashi murakami, and hirst.

these quotes are at the end of the piece:

previously: bono and damien hirst in nyc on october 23

That photo makes him look like an extra in one of those post-apocalyptic movies. You know the ones where the ozone is almost gone and everything is a desert and everyone looks like a Tusken Raider from Tatooine.

i have an adiction to 'don't shoot me santa'. the song, which i can't get out of my head, and the video, which makes me laugh out loud. mad santa's awesome dancing, brandon's mark darcy sweater, supersized guitars and the sweet mohave rain....

thanks for posting it for all to see. i'm going to wait for the cd onsale rather than download...does that make me old??
