super-important, really awesome sentences and scattered holiday sounds

correction: billie joe armstrong is the suxxx
it has come to my attention that we erroneously implied in a previous post that billie joe armstrong of green day is the "sexxx" when in fact we meant to say he is the "suxxx." deeply regret the mistake. it will never happen again.

coming probably not very soon: the scatter o' light lists. books you need to read. albums you need to hear. asses you need to see! and other non-objectified things.

'til then:

[mp3] just like christmas - low
[mp3] little drummer boy - the dandy warhols
[mp3] white christmas - the flaming lips
[mp3] o come, o come emmanuel - belle & sebastian
[mp3] when i get home for christmas - snow patrol
the above tracks are a sampling off of a ridiculous-good uk-import album from 2000 called it's a cool, cool christmas [buy it here].

[mp3] happy christmas (war is over) - u2
john lennon cover. live on the late late show (irish television), 1988.

[mp3] peace on earth/walk on - u2
live in baltimore, 2001, elevation tour. decent quality audience recording.

Totally agree with yetta regarding Rodrigo y Gabriela... awesome performance on Letterman.

Looking forward to seeing your 2006 lists! Knowing you, they won't be the average music blogger crap ;)
