The 'breaking news' about Bono's knighthood has sparked fury among MPs who see it is a 'cynical political ploy' by Downing Street's spin machine. The infuriated MPs accused Blair of "cheapening" the honours system and trying to shift attention from Iraq by breaking the news about the U2 front man one week ahead of the rest of the New Year's honours, reported the Daily Mail.
Right, "cheapening" the honour by giving it to a man who has worked hard to save the lives of millions of people, and has actually produced results instead of rhetoric.
Wankers!
I'm infuriated and disgruntled with the whole infuriated and disgruntled grunting fury! Who cares if Bono was notified a couple of days before the other honorees (How many can there be anyway?). B's a busy man. Time is money - literally. Ask the African nations who's imprisoning debt Bono was responsible for releasing.
