watch above: last night, edge (on fire) and bono (also hot) joined pearl jam (we like) at a concert held as part of the make poverty history campaign. the show was held in melbourne, to coincide with the g20 summit being held there this week.
the boys played a version of rockin' in the free world, with changed lyrics. methinks bono was totally channeling joe strummer in his delivery. more info and multimedia of this is here.

edge can travel back and forth from the future. he's a genius like that.

to quote from what is known as "syndergarten" is almost unfair. these are the same people who, 10 years ago, said similar things about pj's work with neil young - using creative insults like 'neil old'.
it floors me that anyone would think that mike or stone are better than the edge. are these people smoking crack? stone and mike are great. edge is visionary. mike could be visionary but he doesnt work hard enough.
and, you know, vedder's not out for his own career advancement, or anything. thank god u2 inspire their fans to be more than just the best worker at taco bell and don't make people think that money is bad... while talking in the next fan club newsletter about how stone and jeff went heli-skiing off some glacier in alaska - because poor people do that *all the time*.
