it sounds so sweet

my little 4-year-old niece loves u2. on sunday we jumped in the car to go see her mom and new baby bro at the hospital and megan looked at the radio and said "put in bono!" i was like, "okay, kid."

my brother says she will grow out of it, but i'm not so sure.

when my sister and brother and i were little, my mom made us fall in love with james taylor. he had hair at the time and was kind of cute, so it wasn't that tough, really.

one time, when i was about 19, i went to a james taylor concert with my friends. i was totally dehydrated and i had a banging migraine headache. i spent the whole concert laying down on a blanket (lawn seats rule!) i mostly just stared up at the sky with my eyes closed. it was one of the best concerts i've ever been to. every note was pure and full of my own personal nostalgia. it didn't make my headache go away, but it made me cry. or maybe i was hallucinating. whatever.

off the 1994 album james taylor (best live)

[mp3] sweet baby james (live)
[mp3] your smiling face (live)
[mp3] steamroller (live)
[mp3] mexico (live)
[mp3] fire and rain (live)

Hi there, greetings from London. I came across your site when I was searching for James Taylor.

You might like a little clip I made with Copperline as the background. It's on my blog.

Have a good week!

I used to love James Taylor when I was in high school. His voice is so soothing.

if you have anything to say about it, i'm sure your niece will have trouble "growing out" of U2 anytime soon.
