marah covers u2

way back in march, jukebox graduate tipped us off that her boys in marah had finished off a set at maxwell's in hoboken by covering where the streets have no name. she has graciously provided us with some audio, and it's worth a listen.

marah - where the streets have no name (live)
**fan-recorded, no complaining**
march 10, 2006, maxwell's, hoboken, nj

marah is one of those not-big bands that has a fanatically devoted and passionate fanbase. i am told you need to see them live to understand what they are all about. more info:

marah's official site

nick hornby's infamous love letter to marah

and now for some completely unrelated, but undeniably riveting news bits:

meth heads are screwing up my allergies!

stephen colbert makes the president not smile

our lady peace on "the bono"

gary lightbody : he used to be a wanker

and finally, time magazine continues to kiss bono's ass. although they've got his hair woefully wrong, now, don't they?

time 100 : jesse helms on bono

peace

I love Marah!
the closest they're going to get to me is Charlotte, NC.. may try to convince some friends it's time for a road trip...

I've been especially addicted to freedom park lately for some reason.. (link from their site)
