10 things i think i liked in 2005: #10
peeps, my list of things i think i liked will last 10 days. in no particular order, really.
#10: smithwick's

made by guinness in ireland, smithwick's was first brewed at st. francis abbey in kilkenny, ireland in 1710, making it one of ireland's oldest brews. it's been available in canada for a while, but they only started rolling it out in the U.S. in 2004. it just arrived in my neighborhood a few months ago. when you order it, the "th" is a hard "t" and you don't pronounce the "w". like most red irish ales, smithwick's has a taste that is a teeny bit sweet and buttery, but it's not girly.
cheers

Is it not the best! I don't much miss bartending, but I do miss my afterwork Smithwick's (indeed Smit.ex.) or Stella Artois.

I've never tried the stuff, I'll have to give it a try.
