thanks to u2log.com for pointing out to us that if you go to this web site you can stream a video of the man with the world's most fascinating facial hair having a chit chat with liberal economist and activist noreena hertz. she is cute and confident and likes to talk about herself and bono as if they exist in even remotely similar stratospheres. who knows, maybe they do.
noreena hertz asks him some tough questions. if you are afraid bono is going all conservative on our asses, this is a good one to watch. i still have trouble wrapping my head around the fact that yer man has to defend himself from left wingers, but he really does. it mostly has to do with questions surrounding why he is not raving mad about things like the issues brought up in this article. but you know what? in this video interview, he comes up with the goods. well, goods enough for me, at least.
near the end, he talks about a marketing campaign that will involve major corporations using conscious consumerism to affect change in third world nations. he even uses the word nike. me = investigating that immediately.
